Like a Couple of Sh*t Hawks

I had to take a break from commissions to draw my latest OTP, Jim Lahey and Randy, from the Trailer Park Boys.  in case you dont' know what the fuck of which I'm speaking, the show's about 3 buddies who live in a rather big trailer park in Canada, and pretty much all they do is drink, smoke and grow and sell weed, cuss, start shit, do incredibly stupid and often violent shit, etc.  

Lahey is an ex-cop and for most of the series, he's the park supervisor, and from espisode 1, we see these two almost always together, working as a pretty good team, I'd say, if only Mr. Lahey could be trusted not to get himself blind drunk every single day.  Randy's his assistant and does pretty much anything for Lahey.   Lahey often barks orders at Randy, sometimes he's so mean and harsh that the scene feels hella serious for a second, almost makes me uncomfortable!  but I love that.  I often wonder how Randy puts up with him, and of course it's only a million times worse when he's drunk.  But for his part, Randy's no pushover, he's really not.  He may seem it at first.  So many characters go up to him and make fun of his chubby belly, or try to force a shirt on him, or do some other hilariously cruel thing.  Randy doesn't really defend himself much when he's getting bullied, but he doesn't have to, because Lahey is very protective of him and can be supportive in his way.  "Don't listen to them, Randy," he said once.  "You're beautiful."  Also, I bet Randy is often stuck with having to take care of Lahey when he's black out drunk, so I imagine he's pretty strong, and capable of carrying him.  They take care of each other, really.  And are utterly lost if separated.

I love LOOOVe love how no one, in the park or out, seems to give a rat's ass that they're gay.  The first few episodes, they were kinda closeted about it, and there was a bit of the "ambiguously gay duo" thing going on.  but thank god this show took their relationship beyond just queer baiting, the way it'd be if this were an American show, I suspect.  But finally Randy got tired of hiding it, and encouraged Lahey and himself ot come out to a bunch of people in the park, to a surprised but not really surprised audience.  I have yet to hear any homophobic insults or slurs.  I sure hope I don't.

I've only recently started rewatching this show in order, so I've got a lot more to watch.  I hope that they continue to be gay as fuck every single episode, and god I hope to see a kiss or a hug or something.  neither one has said I love you to the other yet, and call me a sappy piece of shit, but I want to see that.  As it is, they show they love for each other by the non-romantic things they do for each other, know what I'm sayinnnnn?

I have a lot of art I must finish for others.  But once I get most of that done, I'm gonna fanart these fucks so hard
